Join CAIS
Anyone interested in Irish Cheese can join our organisation as an associate member. Only cheesemakers are entitled to join our organisation as a full member.
All members are entitled to be listed on this website.
Only Cheesemakers are entitled to vote at an AGM.
Associate members recieve information from CAIS, but are not entitled to become Committee members, or to vote or attend an AGM.
Benefits of CAIS Membership:
- Networking.
- Inclusion on the CAIS website.
- Participation in group marketing opportunities i.e. British Cheese Awards.
- Involvement in the EU Framework 7 research programme on softer cheese shelf life.
- Involvement in distributor group training days.
- Newsletters/updates.
Membership Rates 2009:
- Friend of CAIS: €25.
You may become a "Friend of CAIS" for an annual fee of €25. You will then be listed as a "Friend" on the CAIS website, but will not get a full detailed listing as with full members. As a "Friend of CAIS", you will also receive the CAIS newsletter. You will not however be invited to paticipate in our various promotional activities, which are open to full members only.
- New cheesemakers: €100. This applies for the first two years only and to those producing less than 5 tons.
- Established cheesemakers:
5 - 200 tons: €250
201 tons upwards: €350
All plus 21.5% VAT.
The above are revised fees for 2009 membership. Members are entitled to vote at the AGM. Members are also entitled to a member web page.
